Bracknell Business Statistics

July 23rd, 2007 by Jurga Galvan

Stats and information for businesses considering relocation to or setting up an office in Bracknell.

Bracknell is part of the Bracknell Forest borough. The growth of the town resulted in it absorbing the outlying areas of Winkfield, Warfield and Binfield. In 1955, it was made into a civil parish. Bracknell achieved borough status in 1988 when it changed its name to Bracknell Forest.

Bracknell is actually a Saxon word that means Bracken covering Hiding Place. The town has a rich history as evidenced by the old buildings that can still be seen today. With the redevelopment of Bracknell to further meet the demands of the new century, more and more businesses are considering the area as an attractive place to further develop their companies. In fact, Bracknell has already enticed some big name companies to relocate and establish headquarters in the town.
