Dear Benjamin,

Many thanks for your comment. It would probably be best to contact Liverpool City Council as they might be able to provide the most up-to-date information. Please visit the Business section on their website for further details.

Hi there,

I am looking at setting up a business here in Liverpool & wanted some more information regarding"

Special business benefits/dispensations
• Charitable and Discretionary Relief
• Hardship Relief
• Unoccupied Properties Relief
• Transitional Arrangements

What do these mean? Where can I find more information?

I also wondered if there was any specific information on industry sectors & number of players - IE: Businesses broken into groups & numbers - for instance - how many cafe's in Liverpool? - Is this sort of information available?

lastly - where do I find out about health & safety?

Regards,

9/10 workers seems like an awful lot! Seems like we are a nation of unhappy workers. I think the biggest problem is people who don't find time to relax/exercise because their work culture is one of excessive hours. This really needs to change.

I have contacted GCC in connection with new scheme and seems they have a limited amount of industrial unit and shop type accommodation. The articles I have read all indicate that 'office' accommodation will be made available.... this it seems is not the case and was told that most GCC office space is already occupied by existing council services. I feel they have misrepresented the scope of new scheme... they do not have 'offices' only a very limited amount of commercial type properties. I would like to hear from anyone that does know of low/cost office accommodation in Glasgow that could house a small classroom type environment.... thank you.... David
